This way emo adherents show that they take no interest in social processes. Being outcasts, emo representatives show their neglect of existing social rules and regulations through the emo style. They wear skinny jeans, sometimes in bright colors, and tight t-shirts, with names of emocore groups printed on them. Common accessories in the emo fashion are studded belts and black wristbands. Piercing is also one of the forms of adorning the body that is popular among emos. Black Converse sneakers and skate shoes, such as Vans, are typically worn by emos. Some boys also prefer thick black horn-rimmed glasses. The emo fashion is also renowned its hairstyles. Popular looks are long side-swept bangs, sometimes covering one or both eyes. Straightened and dyed black hair is also a part of the emo trend. Blue, red, pink or blond highlights are very trendy. At the outset of the third millennium, the emo fashion was associated with an impeccable look, but when young people adhered to the style, it got darker, with long bangs and emphasis on the color black.Emo representatives are exceedingly vulnerable personalities. Psychologists define them as introverts who do not want to interact with the world around. Instead, they demonstrate their thoughts by means of poetry. Poems they compose are full of sadness, nostalgia and despair. Commonly these emotions are characteristic of teenagers aged 12 - 18, when they are emotionally unstable. For many emo representatives emoism becomes a way of life. |
